Last week!

Well, this is the last week before finals. Not much else to say. Woo pig sooee.

Capstone is done!

I posted about this earlier I think =, but either way. It's done and I should be gettign my grade back soon.

It is DONE!

It being my magazine naturally. So glad it's finished. Anyways I've been meaning to post but I've been distracted by doing work.

Spring break is almost here!

Well this is the week before spring break. I'll be doing a lot of work on my end product over the break, as well as finishing up service learning. AS of now I have half my hours. That's pretty much all for this week. Bye!

Yet another late update

I'm really quite terrible at keeping up with these. Oh well, I'm better than some I suppose. I made this poster last week. From what I understand it will be displayed at my table. I'm a bit behind on my drafting of my pages. I'm only on pages 7 and 8 as of this moment. I'm working on it though. Bye for now!

Capstone Progress report 1

So I'm a bit late in posting this apparently but oh well. I am currently in the drafting phase of my magazine. I have a general concept of what I want for my cover art, as well as a rough draft of the first three pages right now. Later this week I'll be interviewing a professor here for her opinion as what she studied for her Doctoral degree partially coincides with my project. By Wednesday I am scheduled to have the draft of the first 5 pages completed.

Look and feel

My presentation will be done in a formal, but entertaining fashion. There is going to be a physical copy, as well as am electronic version of a magazine. In order to encourage reading the colours will be eye catching and visually appealing combinations. The font will be simple and easy to read with variations in size to keep away from monotomy. The presentation will be given over the formal essay and will be done in causal business attire. I found the font final frontier on dafont.com and am considering using it as the title cover font. I also think the font Chocolate may be good for headlines, and titles within the magazine.

The danders of misinformation: fame freedom, and fortune statement of intent

This project is designed to inform society about the common misconceptions and misinformation about fame. It reflects the economic, and governmental impacts of fame, as well as the more interpersonal effects that occur. There are a multitude of cases in which due to lack of proper information persons have and thus becoming detriments to society. If used to its full potential it can lower the cases of people who become deprived in life by the lack knowledge as to what they're doing in obtaining their dream. As I asprie to be a counselor for depressed adolescents I am baffled by the effects of fame seeking on people. This will benefit me in understanding the mind more, as well as the community by increased awareness and knowledge.
